Growing Great Kids Seminar

On Saturday 24th November, HBC will be hosting a seminar as part of Mental Health Month 2012.  The theme for this years Mentla Health Month is “Celebrate, Connect, Grow” and we are joining in by helping families to grow.   The seminar will focus on: How we can grow happy, healthy and strong kids Practical tips on growing value-based relationships between parents and kids Encourage the development of resilient kids and families The seminar is free of charge and canapes will be provided at the Workers Club starting at 7.30pm. This is a great event to learn about parenting regardless of the age of your child.

Man to Man Course on offer in Term 2 2012

Following on from the succesful of our first Woman to Woman course at HBC we will next be challenging the men to step up and take a good long hard look at themselves using the Man to Man program from Careforce Lifekeys. This program focuses on the man and his relationships.  It is common for men to feel isolated and unsupported, especially when our culture has trained guys that they should be able to keep it all together.  Men today need help with hassles and hurts and an opportunity to find encouragement and support from other men. Our New Website is finally here

Our New Website is finally here

2012 is going to be a great year at HBC and to help mark the beginning we have launched a new website.  For those who were familiar with our old website it was sadly in need of a new facelift.  It also served very little purpose besides providing the vital information of telling people where we were and how we could be contacted. The new website will do more than just provide simple information. It is hoped that it will become a vital part of the community at HBC as it will become a hub of information and resources.
